Thank ax, you da man son
God damn man. This is freaking awesome, all smoothly produced and engineered and yet ambling and coloured. The closest analogy I can think is like Flying Lotus or Dosage. Idk, I found it kinda grating when samples went on a super tight loop (:33 etc) because it kinda messed up the lurching and fluid vibe. But wow. A lot of people on the Hip Hop portal are going to be stepping their game up now.
Good battle Prom, looking forward to collabing with you on the real real.
In other news, I'm a total fucking narcissist: http://rapgenius.com/Clabtrap-prometh eus-vs-axtekk-lyrics#
Why would anyone hate on this?!? Deep 808s, tight guitar work, big brass... Even fucking polytonality. Gatspraya 4prez
FUCK YOU YOU PIECE OF SHIT FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU I FUCKING HATE YOU GO KILL YOURSELF FUCK YOU NO1 LIEKZ U FUCK UUUUUUUUUUU
Oh my god, the drama continues in the review section lol. My vote doesn't count and this isn't like a super clear win, so I'll be keeping my choice to myself. But I'm a narcissist who likes the sound of his own voice so I'll type some words anyway lol.
Vistigator cons: Pot calling the kettle black here, but there are a lot of punch ins here. One or two cliché punches (the Zimmerman thing felt forced and kinda try hard). The gap between DC and Universe bugged me too lol but worst of all terrible beat choice. I mean, what a shitty beat. Producer should go kill himself.
Pachillis cons: I really liked Pachillis's style in the battle vs Mav but against Vins I kinda felt it let Vins come up dominant. I guess I'd suggest a more diverse approach to deliveries so Pach can match an aggressive one. Especially on such a dramatic beat. Shitty producer again. Maybe a few multis as well, but overall the big one for me was that I felt Pachillis relied on like one or two flows in this battle which was unfortunate because:
Vinstigator pros: Vins came surprisingly flowsy. Usually it's like just one punch style, but I really dug how Vins diversified here. Good shit. Matched with that aggressive style aforementioned it came out hella dominant. And wordplay. "Flash in the pan" was pretty damn smart, smooth shit.
Pachillis pros: Fucking lulzy. The flipside of the easy going style is that Pach came out much funnier, "Yo body called and told me I need salads" wasn't really funny or original but my god it had me chuckling. Good shit. Also the double time in the second verse came out smooth and I think was super necessary given how much Pach used a slower delivery.
Also, you guys are the first ones to *get* this beat I think, in terms of shit talk and wit between verses. Very nice.
Freaking beast man. I loved the drums in particular but EVERY sound in this piece was just perfect. What programs are you using man?!
Solid Hurt IS a bitch though. Dope shit.
Fuck. Two very different styles. Awesome battle.
Vote doesn't count but MY GOD this is brilliant. Jar's first verse was crazy. Breaker's second verse was crazy. Fucking wow this is brilliant. I'd probably go for Breaker just because his delivery was so diverse. Jar's punchline style's freaking brilliant.
This is where I link my NG peeps yo.
